#artistthoughts // I'm often inspired by artists and photographers who create and share what they want to, and not always aligned with what their "audience" expects. Much like a musician who changes sounds over the years, images can also change or evolve. I find it fascinating to see what's next from a musician or artist as their journey continues and much prefer this to the remix of the same sound or formula.
Light Castles // More from Wonderland, where light and form come together in strange and beautiful ways. Hiking among these castles of light you can't help but to not feel awed. There's not a specific place for this light here, it's everywhere, and the landscape opens your eyes to it every single time. I've been here many times yet discover something new with every single visit.
1 second seems like nothing in this landscape of continual motion. Life grows from everywhere and the rate of decomposition is in balance with the rate of growth. Everything is in motion here. Even on a day when it wasn't raining, the trees and moss dripped all day, soaking the forest below. Dead trees fuel new growth and life just seems to be in balance here💚.
Rain // I could tell you about the Hoh Rainforest but words don't really describe the place. I could show you but photos fail also. Perhaps a camera can be used to describe it in a different way though, perhaps the camera can capture something other than a replication of vision.
Thistle & Pine // A quieter look of an iconic landscape, shot at 12:31PM in less than epic light. Nature doesn't wear a watch or follow defined rules, so why should photographers? Nature is full of surprise at every hour of the day if we open our eyes.
Once upon a time in a fairytale forest....
So much fun at the Pacific Wave Park this last week. There's so many things to consider and be aware of with Nature Photography but often the most important part is to simply have fun.
