1-Day Greater Zion Photo Workshop
Our 1-Day Greater Zion Photo Workshop is offered daily for all skill levels of photography. Learn as you explore Greater Zion and create images with professional instruction every step of the way.
Our 1-Day Workshop is always more than simply getting to the “right place at the right time”. We like to think of it as the best place at the appropriate time. Come join us and see what we mean and put it into practice.
Physical Requirements
- Minimal hiking is required for many great locations in Greater Zion.
- Hiking is customized for your abilities.
- You must be able to carry and transport all of your own photography gear. We’re able to help within reason. If you need assistance, please arrange this with us prior to booking.
- Greater Zion ranges from 2500-7500 feet above sea level. Spring through Fall are hot and dry. Stay hydrated, rest and know hiking/walking will be a little slower here.
Best Time to Visit
- December – February: Snow and rain are possible but mostly sunny and mild. Often great for hiking and beautiful light!
- March – mid May Near perfect weather with so many nice days. It can snow in March but be near 100ºF in May. This is one of the best times of the year.
- Mid May – September: HOT. Also the busiest time of year. Monsoon storms and weather begin in July.
- October – November: The other best time of year with perfect weather. Fall colors go for nearly 2 months here depending on elevation.
- Personal Favorite Time: March or Late October. Perfect weather, possible storms, great hiking and great light:)
